Security Case Studies

Cocktail Gift Shop

Cocktail Gift Shop

The Cocktail Gift Shop is situated in the historical bailgate & steep hill area of Lincoln. Security of alcoholic beverages is paramount when the shop isn’t open; however, being a listed building in a protected area means that modifications to the shop are expensive and potentially not suitable.

Montane offers a full range of services suitable for this type of situation, whilst being discreet and effective.

Remotely Monitored Alarm CCTV

The camera is battery operated and has its GPRS & Radio connection via a sim card. This means that even if the power is cut to the building, video of the event will always be transmitted and saved.

The battery lasts 365 days & is triggered by motion, sound or a catch on the door.

If the camera is triggered, the app sends a notification to the owner’s phone with the live video.

At the same time, the control room of Montane Security evaluates the video and determines whether it’s an event or a false alarm; then decides whether to send a physical team to the venue to secure the shop.

Standalone Alarm Panel - remotely monitored

When the alarm panel is enabled and disabled, the owners of the shop receive a notification with the exact time both events have occurred. Always allowing peace of mind when leaving the site for the evening.

If the panel is not disarmed within the allocated time - the remote CCTV is activated, the control room assesses the activity and sends a physical team to the venue.

Standalone Control Panel

This control panel works on a battery-operated system which also has its own connection to a GPRS & Radio network. A power outage never affects the integrity of the security system installed by Montane Security.

Standalone Siren

Much like the complete system installed by Montane Security - Battery operated, remotely managed & tamper-proof.
Our siren operates at 107 decibels, so will intimidate intruders and bring attention to the area.

Peace of Mind

The peace of mind that this system offers is invaluable. The owner doesn’t have to be glued to their device, awaiting notifications. The dedicated control room monitors the triggers, to ensure a false alarm never happens, so needless extra charges also never occur.

Curious Theatre School

Curious Theatre School

After a tragic break in to the Curious Theatre School over the festive period, the Montane Group attended the site and had a meeting with the venue owner to discuss how we could be of service to keep the venue and it’s patrons safe.

Client Centric Service

The main concern for our client was feeling safe in the venue again. Knowing that many of the patrons of the school were children, the client wanted to avoid anything like this happening again while also making sure that the children felt like the theatre was once again a safe space.

After having a meeting and getting to the root of the client’s needs, our team worked on putting together a proposal that addressed the main security concerns and how our software combatted this.

24/7 Security Surveillance

For this specific site, Montane Group deployed the use of top-quality surveillance Hardware.

Talking to the client to ensure that the camera would be the correct piece of software to use, we agreed that the main area of concern would need state-of-the-art software to ensure maximum safety.

Door Sensors with Indoor and Outdoor Sirens

Addressing other areas of concern for the venue, we decided that having door sensors for certain areas would be a cost-effective solution to ensure that the property was kept safe and secure in the event of another break in.

The addition of sirens for the site added to the peace of mind that the site would be secure at all times and activities could go on as planned.

Tap and Tonic

Tap and Tonic

When new venues come to Lincoln, we aim to offer the highest quality service to the new clients. Tap and Tonic were moving into a building on the busy Lincoln High Street.

The venue management had previous experience with having security from their previous venues, so knew exactly what they wanted from our door staff, something that we were more than happy to oblige with.

More than just a Door Supervisor

At the Tap and Tonic, they wanted someone welcoming to act as not just a Door Supervisor, but a host for the venue. This required someone who needed 'live' knowledge of the venue and knowledge of the booking that were in for that night.

At Montane Group, we hire a wide variety of staff to ensure that we have someone to fit every need our clients may have. With our experience we also know the importance of a regular team to bring in regular customers for the venue, something we placed as being extremely important for this venue.

More than just a Security Company

With over 40 years of experience, we have a number of contacts in the city to help out our clients.

Being new to the area, the owners of Tap and Tonic were in need of local tradespeople to help bring their vision to life for the venue. We worked closely with the owners to correspond and organise for tradespeople to attend the venue and help in any way they were able so they could run on schedule to get their venue open.
