Montane Group has helped me immensely. They've helped me through my SIA course and given me work at some of the best venues in the city. They've given me peace of mind and structure and stability once again. I feel a sense of belonging as part of the team, i'm not just a number, I'm a person.

I’ve always wanted to work in the security industry, and after several knock backs, Montane Group took me on as a Steward to get me on the road to becoming fully SIA Licensed. They supported me through steward work, helping me to get the funding for my SIA course, as well as providing someone to sit with me during the exam because of my dyslexia. Once I passed my SIA course, there was a job waiting for me as a Door Supervisor straight away, where I was able to work regular hours weekly and get back into a routine again.

I started with Montane Group as a steward after leaving the army, allowing me to get the funds together to pay to go through my DS course and eventually join the team as a fully qualified door supervisor. Montane Group have supported my interest in expanding my qualifications, allowing me to enrol on various different courses that they run and letting me spread the cost with weekly payments. I now hold a number of qualifications ranging from proper handcuff use to a FREC 3 qualification which has allowed me to become a first responder at venues and events.

I can’t express enough the support that I have received from management at Montane. Since starting employment with them, I’ve had a number of personal and mental health issues that Montane Group have supported me through, ensuring that I knew I had job security as well as checking in with me while I was away to ensure that i was doing ok. Montane Group have truly supported every aspect of my life and I don’t know what I would do without their continued support.

left the army in August 2010 after 5 year’s service with the Coldstream guards. There wasn’t much choice for ex-armed forces personnel in the job market so I decided to start a career within the security sector as a door supervisor. I have worked for a fair few companies in the almost 13 years of being in the industry and Montane Security has to be the best one. They recognise the service that you provided and always see the potential that you have and support you every step of the way.

I have been a supervisor for a few large events and I am now in charge of my own team. thanks to Montane Security I am progressing in my career.

I would highly recommend Montane Security to any ex-armed forces personnel who wish to start a career in the security sector they will always try and provide the best training and support unlike any other.

I served a total of 17 and a half years in the RAF Police. A total of 4 deployments to the Middle East which included 2 tours of Afghanistan (Op HERRICK 16 frontline Ops with the search dogs), 1 deployment to Mali, assisting the French forces (Op BARKANE) fight the insurgency; Boko Haram and 1 tour of The Falklands.

I was nervous about the transition to “Civvy” street but, I approached Montane Group to see if they had any vacancies, they did not hesitate to recognise my experience within the Military Security Sector and welcomed me on board without prejudice.

I love my new civilian position because that comradeship that I have been so used to whilst serving is so true within Montane. The added bonus is there are other veterans who are employed here and I look forward to sitting on that sandbag spinning dits over a brew.

I have been working with the Montane group for the past 2 years, and while being here, I have been supported toughly by all staff and management. I have been in the security industry for 11 years, from CP to door work, to being Head door within the company to Operation management with a previous company. I am now the owner of a security training company that Montane Group has also supported. Being EX forces, Montane Group has been a massive help and supporter.
