Level 2 Door Supervisor (SIA)

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification supports roles in the workplace and is designed for those seeking a Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence to work as a door supervisor.

 

How long will it take?

The qualification requires approximately 61 hours of learning, with a minimum of 44 contact hours (6 days) if self-study is included.

 

Topics covered

The course covers the Private Security Industry's main characteristics, safe working practices, drug misuse legislation, door supervisor responsibilities, licensing law, queue management, risk assessment in conflict situations, conflict resolution techniques, and physical intervention skills.

Level 2 Door Supervisor (SIA)(Top-Up)

Who is this qualification for?
This qualification supports workplace roles and is designed for learners holding a Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence as a door supervisor, needing to meet updated licence-linked qualifications requirements.

How long will it take?
Approximately 23 hours of learning, with a minimum of 13 contact hours (2 days) if self-study is included.

Topics covered
Includes principles of terror threat awareness, equipment use as a door supervisor, and application of physical intervention skills.

FREC-3

Who is this qualification for?
This qualification is ideal for those pursuing careers in the event medical and security sector or working in high-risk environments. It builds on basic first aid knowledge and includes using care equipment to save lives. The course meets HSE requirements for first aid and prepares learners to deliver effective prehospital care in emergencies.

How long will it take?
The course spans 5 days, from Mon-Fri.

Topics covered
The course includes patient assessment, airway management, CPR, defibrillation, managing trauma, medical emergencies, and the use of prehospital care equipment.

Level 2 CCTV Operator (SIA)

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification supports roles in the workplace and is designed for those seeking a Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence to work as a CCTV operator, following the relevant SIA specification.

How long will it take?

Learners are expected to complete approximately 31 hours of learning, with a minimum of 22 contact hours (3 days) if self-study is included.

Topics covered

The course covers the main characteristics of the Private Security Industry, safe working practices, drug misuse legislation, the purpose of CCTV systems, surveillance techniques, and producing evidential documentation.

Level 3 Emergency First Aid

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification is for those who wish to become emergency first-aiders in the workplace and meets the requirements for organisations needing trained staff as identified in their first-aid needs assessment.

How long will it take?

The course requires 7 hours of learning, typically completed in one day, with a minimum of 6 hours of direct contact.

Topics covered

The qualification includes the roles and responsibilities of a first aider, incident assessment, CPR, AED use, aiding choking casualties, and managing external bleeding and hypovolaemic shock.

Level 3 Award in the Safe Use of Mechanical Restraints

Who is this qualification for?
This qualification is for those pursuing a Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence as a CCTV operator, aligning with SIA specifications.
 
How long will it take?
Approximately 31 hours of learning, with a minimum of 22 contact hours (3 days) if self-study is included.
